The Importance of Goals!

Set goals! Too many people are afraid to set goals because they don’t want to face the possibility of not reaching them and feeling inadequate. Therefore, its easy to make the mistake of not setting a goal in order to avoid failure and the negative emotions that might follow. In reality, this is also a way to avoid progress. Preventing our own progress is a form of failure. Think of goal setting in this way…whether we reach a particular goal or not, when we are finished with the attempt we will be somewhere between where we started and what we were striving for...and we will be better for it! The more goals we set the more opportunities we have to grow, whether the final outcome was reached or not. Don't be afraid to set those goals. If you do then you will enjoy the growth along the way!
