Peak Performance Blockers

Knowing Peak Performance concepts are very helpful, but equally beneficial is knowing what Peak Performance blockers are. There are numerous cognitive distortions that detract from our well-being and performance. First on the list is the Limiting Cognitive Bias about ourselves, which is a false belief that has been planted in our belief system by an external source, such as society, social media, or others around us. For example, “I cannot overcome this challenge because I am not smart enough/not strong enough/not creative enough/I don’t have enough resources/I don’t have the genetics”, etc. In any difficult situation that we face there are examples of people overcoming them who are just like us, but a Limiting Cognitive Bias will prevent us from believing it or knowing it. Catching ourselves engaging in and avoiding these false beliefs about ourselves will unlock performance and improve well-being! Enjoy losing those restricting thoughts!
