The Real Epidemic!
We are certainly challenged by the COVID-19 pandemic, but there are social pandemics that have been doing harm long before the corona virus appeared. Complaining, making excuses, and blaming others are surefire ways to find failure and despair. Don’t fall into the trap of these social epidemics as they are only self-imposed road blocks and habits that are learned from others. The good news is that they can be broken. Physical distancing can help prevent us from contracting a virus, but it can also allow us to distance ourselves from those that might have been teaching us weak mental habits. Use this time and physical distancing to think about some of the negative mental habits that you might have been socially learning from others. People who do not complain, make excuses, or blame others are happier, more successful, and more resilient. Make the best of this time by designing positive and productive mental habits.
